Rachel was born in Decatur, AL and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in BSBA Accounting in 2004 and an MBA in 2009. She's been in Huntsville for four years and is an Executive Director of the UAHuntsville Alumni Association and Director of Alumni Relations at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The St. Patty's Day Party in 2008 was her first event, and meeting new people and knowing she's making a difference in the Huntsville community is her favorite part of HYP. Rachel volunteers for the Non-Profit Coalition and Connect Class 13. She's the Assistant Director of the Miss Point Mallard Scholarship Program (preliminary to Miss Alabama/Miss America) and on the EmYrge Council. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys baking and cake decorating.
Greg was born in Clarksdale, MS, and he has a Bachelor’s of Accountancy and Master of Finance from Mississippi State University. He has lived in Huntsville almost six years, and he is a CPA at Melvin, Bibb, Pinson, & Segars, P.C. The first HYP event he attended was the HYP birthday party in 2007, and his favorite part of HYP is welcoming new members to Huntsville. Greg is also involved in National Children’s Advocacy Center, Therapy Partners Inc., Committee of 100, Connect Class 8, and Church of the Nativity EYC Group. In his personal time, he enjoys going to lake with his wife (Elizabeth) and family, attending MSU events, traveling around the southeast, and spending time with his one and a half year old son.
Daniel was born in Las Vegas, NV and has lived in Huntsville for 16 years. He graduated from UAH in 2002 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and he earned a M.S. in Engineering Management from UAH in 2008. He currently works as a Systems Engineer for Lockheed Martin. His first HYP event was a Huntsville Stars game, and his favorite part about HYP is making Huntsville more appealing for young professionals. Daniel is also President of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association and is a member of the Downtown 47. In his personal time, he enjoys running, volleyball, and P90x.
Charles was born in Charlottesville, VA and has a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech. He has lived in Huntsville four years working as an AeroThermal Engineer at ITT Exelis. The first HYP he attended was a premier event at Monaco Pictures / Scene Lounge shortly after it opened. Charles also volunteers at Big Brothers Big Sisters (North Alabama), and in his spare time, he enjoys soccer, running, and international travel.
Rebecca was born in New York City and was a Psychology major at Duke University. She has lived in Huntsville for almost two years and is a News Reporter at WAAY-TV. Her first HYP event was HYP College Colors Night at Brickhouse Sports Café, and her favorite part of HYP is helping provide an impetus for young professionals to come to Huntsville and giving those already here a reason to stay. Rebecca is also a member of Duke University Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee, and she enjoys fitness, photography, traveling, and dining out.
Clayton was born in Arab, AL and has a degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama. He has lived in Huntsville for two years working as a Tax Accountant with Anglin Reichmann Snellgrove Armstrong P.C. The first HYP event he attended was the Halloween Party, and his favorite part of HYP is meeting other young professionals in a fun environment.
Dena was raised in Johnson City, TN. She attended the University of North Alabama and obtained a Marketing degree in 2004. She relocated to Huntsville in 2006 and is now employed with Qinetiq North America as an Electronic Publications Analyst. The first HYP event she attended was the HYP Wine Tasting in 2008. The social activities that bring people together to have a good time are her favorite part of HYP. She is the VP of Programs for the Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association in the Huntsville/Madison area. She enjoys volunteering with the American Cancer Society and other various organizations for a good cause. Other activities she enjoys are playing kickball and softball, videogames, and card games, traveling, and trying new things.
Britney was born in Enterprise, AL and has a degree in Public Relations from the University of Alabama. She has lived in Huntsville for two years working as a Marketing Consultant for CSC. Her first HYP event was a HYP-PY hour, and her favorite part of HYP is the ability to interact with numerous young professionals in the area. She is also involved in Connect and Leadership Huntsville Madison County, and in her personal time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and college football.
Vincent grew up by the Florida Gulf Coast and received a degree in Business Management from Ashworth College in 2010. He has lived in Huntsville for a little over one year and works as a Contract Specialist responsible for the acquisition of major spare parts in support of the Army’s Blackhawk Weapon System. The first HYP event he attended was HYP-PY Hour at Lone Goose Saloon in the spring of 2011, and what he enjoys most about HYP is the organization’s ability to be proactive in the community. Vincent’s personal hobbies include running, going to the beach, and spending nights watching The Office.
Anna was born in Opelika, AL and attended the Huntsville Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. She has lived in Huntsville for 14 years, and for the last six years, she has worked as a Radiologic Technologist at Huntsville Hospital. Her first HYP event was HYP-PY hour at Moe’s BBQ, and her favorite part of HYP is meeting new people. She also volunteers for Relay for Life and enjoys hiking, reading, and painting.
Stephanie was born in St. Louis and has lived in Huntsville almost 15 years. She earned a degree in Sociology and Political Science from UAH and is a Human Resources Analyst at Redstone Federal Credit Union. She loves that HYP creates networking, philanthropic, and professional development opportunities for young professionals within our community, who otherwise would probably never meet. Stephanie is also involved with Gener8 and acted as a Leader on Loan representing RFCU with this year’s United Way campaign. She enjoys spending good times with friends and family and dreams of becoming a professional philanthropist.
Stephany was born in Colorodo Springs, CO and has a degree in Accounting from Auburn University. She’s lived in Huntsville for 12 years with a break for college and starting her career. She is a Managing Tax Consultant at Beason & Nalley, Inc. Stephany is also a member of Kids to Love and Boys and Girls Club of North Alabama. She also enjoys reading and photography but mostly hanging out with her loved ones.
George was born in New Haven, CT and graduated from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2007 with a degree in Physics. He has lived in Huntsville for four years working as a Research Analyst for Dynetics. His first HYP event was the 2008 St. Patty’s Day party, and his favorite part about HYP is the variety of social activities offered, ranging from happy hour to wiffle ball to canoeing trips. George is also a member of Free the Hops. In his personal time, he enjoys hiking, running, cooking, and playing videogames.
Bronwen was born in Loveland, CO. She spent her formative years in Huntsville and moved away for ten years. She returned in 2010 from Chicago. Bronwen studied Communication at Auburn University and also has a M.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University. She is currently a Principal Consultant for In The Loop Communications. Her first HYP event was a Professional Development speech given by Dr. Daniel Crosby, and her favorite thing about HYP is meeting new people and bringing them together to see the great things Huntsville has to offer. Bronwen is also a member of Art Krewe, and in her spare time, she enjoys freelance writing, non-profit volunteering, international travel, and is an avid football fan who can be found cheering for the Auburn Tigers and Northwestern Wildcats.
Clinton was born in Ft. Pierce, FL and graduated from The University of Central Florida in 2006 with a B.S. in Legal Studies. He recently moved to the Huntsville area where he has opened a Nationwide Insurance Agency. His first HYP event was HYP-PY Hour at the Wine Cellar. His favorite part of HYP is how welcoming everyone has been with him being new to Huntsville and the wide array of events that HYP puts together. Clinton is also a member of Rotary International of Madison and the Huntsville Association of Realtors. In his spare time he enjoys golf, camping, hunting, fishing, and pretty much anything outdoors.
Kacey was born in Monongahela, PA. She received a B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State in 2011. She has lived in Huntsville less than one year, acting as the Assistant Director for Student Life at UAH. Her first HYP experience was a wine tasting, and her favorite part of HYP is the opportunity to make new friends at HYP’s many social events. Kacey is also a member of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), specifically the Standing Committee for Graduate Students and New Professionals. In her free time, she enjoys reading, movies, television, dancing, karaoke, and spending time with friends and her puppy, Tux.
Brian was born in Phoenix, AZ and graduated from the Arizona State University in 2003 with degrees in Marketing and Management. He then joined the Army Materiel Command's Fellows Program and received his MBA from Texas A&M - Texarkana in 2007. He has lived in Huntsville for four years working for the US Army. Currently, Brian is performing duties in the field of foreign military sales. His first HYP event was the 2007 College Colors networking event at what was then Philby's Pourhouse (now Jefferson St. Pub). The best part of participating in HYP events is meeting new people and participating in the networking events. In his personal time, he enjoys being with friends, traveling, and playing with his dog.
Michael was born in Huntsville and has a degree in Finance from Auburn University. He has lived in Huntsville all his life and is a realtor/part owner of Capstone Realty and Capstone Lawn Care & Landscaping. His first HYP event was the 2008 Halloween Party, and his favorite thing about HYP is the fun events allowing young professionals to meet one another. Some of his hobbies include being outdoors, golfing, fishing, exercising, and being on the lake.
Sandra grew up in Des Moines, IA. She received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Iowa. She moved to Huntsville in August 2011 and is the Assistant Refinery Manager at Bunge in Decatur, which processes vegetable oil. Sandra’s first HYP event was HYP-PY hour at Moe’s, and her favorite part of HYP is the many opportunities to meet people and hear their stories. She loves to be outside, especially playing sports; some of her favorites are softball, volleyball, and golf.
Tony was born in Huntsville, and he has a B.S. in Marketing and a M.S. in Supply Chain Management from the University of Alabama. His favorite part of HYP is the networking opportunities offered to young professionals. He is also a member of Makers Local, and he enjoys cooking, traveling, and couchsurfing.
Courtney was born and raised in Huntsville and graduated from the University of Alabama in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and again in 2008 with a Master’s degree in Sport Management. She spent the first three years out of college working in minor league baseball for the Oklahoma City RedHawks and the Huntsville Stars. In July 2011, Courtney accepted her current position as Manager of Special Events with the Alzheimer’s Association. Her first HYP event to attend was the 2010 Halloween Party. She loves the new friendships she is already making in her first year on the board for HYP. Courtney is also active in her church - Weatherly Heights Baptist, The Ark - a no-kill animal shelter, as well as the Everybody Can Play Playground in Brahan Springs Park - a playground for all ages and abilities. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys running, attending Firm Body Bootcamps, and Alabama Football.
