What kind of events do you have?
We plan all kinds of events networking, professional development, and social opportunities.
Do I have to pay to be a member of HYP?
No. There are no membership costs.
Who can attend?
Our events are geared towards young professionals ages 21-40.
I'm new in town. Can I come to your events by myself?
Absolutely!Don't be intimidated. HYP is all about meeting new people.Our events are a great way to meet new people. We have board members at every event who will make sure that you feel welcome. Click here to see all our board members and look for them at our next event.
What exactly is a member of HYP?
Very simple. Someone who joins the email list and attends events. That's it. No fees, no hassle, just come have fun.
Do I have to be a member to attend the events?
No. Conventional membership organizations suck. Just join the email list so you are in the loop and come to an event that catches your eye.
How much do your events cost?
Each event is different. Some are free most have a minimal cost to cover expenses. Our event listings breakdown the date, time, location, any costs, items you need to bring, a short description, and provide a HYP contact for your questions.
Can you help me find a job?
HYP is not an employment agency. However, it may be beneficial for you to come to our events and introduce yourself to the attendees who may include businessowners, directors, and HR reps. You never know who you'll meet!
We are a local business can you help us find employees?
HYP hosts numerous events which are attended by several young professionals who may be your target audience. Ask us how you can get more exposure for your company at our events!
Do you ever have events that are not at a bar?
Yes. Check out the upcoming events.
Do you ever have events that do not center around alcohol?
Yes. Relax all you overly concerned citizens; HYP is not a party group. Our events are well-planned and designed to get young professionals to get out and meet each other. Having a cocktail while meeting new people is nothing to get excited about.
How do I get more involved?
Join a committee with HYP by dropping us an email.
How do you chose new Board members?
We take suggestions from the current board and advisors to HYP. The best way to get on the board is to attend as many events as you can and join a committee to help us out.
How do you chose locations for your events?
Have an idea? Drop us a line. We LOVE to get ideas and feedback from the people that attend our events.
Is there a way to advertise an event that I'm planning to HYP's members?
Yes! Just submit your event.
I am involved with a charity that I think HYP could help. How do I pitch my idea to HYP?

How can I get involved in planning and scheduling HYP events?
We try to offer a variety of events, and we like to host them at different locations and times so that we can reach as many YP's as possible. If our schedules have notmatched up yet, keep checking back! One day, I'm sure they will. Or, if they don't, we suggest getting involved in a committee so you can help plan the events!
Do I have to be 21 or olderto attend an event?
It all depends on the event. Check the details of the event you would like to attend or drop us a line if you have a specific event that may be in question.
